Making Cookies With the First Graders

On November 16, 2012, FBLA members traveled to the Strum Elementary school to help first graders create cookies for Thanksgiving. Using oreos, candy corn, whoppers, and frosting, the first graders constructed cookies that looked like turkeys. The first graders enjoyed eating their turkeys during their milk break!

Chirstmas From the Heart Food Drive

December 3rd through the 14th, members helped run a food drive for Christmas from the Heart in Eleva. Members made posters, collected food, and sorted food into boxes. All of the food was donated to Christmas from the Heart to help needy families.

Making Ornaments with Kindergartners

On December 18, 2012, FBLA members traveled to the Strum school to help kindergartners make holiday ornaments. The kindergartners created Santa ornaments by tracing their hands on pieces of white foam. The foam was used for Santa's beard and other felt pieces were added to create his face and hat. The kindergartner's enjoyed this activity and were excited to hang their ornaments on their Christmas trees!

Making Christmas Cards With Nursing Home Residents

On December 12, members had the opporunity to travel to the Strum Nursing home to help the residents write their Christmas cards. Members helped over twenty residents write and address their Christmas letters. Many members also had the opportunity to listen to the resident's stories.The staff and residents were appreciate of the help they recieved from the Eleva-Strum FBLA members.
